People with other VGAs also experience Xorg server crashes since 1.19.1 including myself (nVidia here). The login manager SDDM if present also crashes since the same Xorg update. This bug is not about Intel. Until there is such evidence, it's better to assume that there are multiple separate problems and track them separately. |

Linux 4.8.13-1-ARCH x86_64 xorg-server 1.19.1-1 Since updating Xorg to 1.19.1-1 it core dumps multiple times a day. Multiple users reporting this issue. Removing the xf86-video-intel driver and going back to modesetting seems to make the problem slightly less. However some users still have crashes then. So it seems to be something in Xorg. But seems to be triggered randomly, haven't been able to pinpoint it to a specific action. Just the entire DE/Xorg crashing and the screen going blank.
