Description Elmar Stellnberger 2018-02-01 08:43:46 UTC
There is a problem with the backlight of my FTS Celsius H265 notebook and its NVIDIA G96GLM [Quadro FX 770M] graphics card. When I leave my computer unattended for a while Xfce turns off the backlight of my computer as there is no input. However as soon as it does so my screen stays permanently black. When I move the mouse the backlight goes on again; however the screen content remains black. The same problem occurs with s2ram; after awaking from s2ram Num-Lock works well but the screen stays black. However to evoke this error it isn`t necessary to s2ram; the desktop environment just needs to switch the backlight off. - using kernel 4.15.0-rc9+.

Tried to record any changes of device parameters before and after suspend above. However the same values seem to change across reboots as well.

can you check if this patch fixes it for you?

No, unfortunately the given patch did not resolve the backlight issue for me.
