Description Juan 2011-05-19 08:06:02 UTC
Hi, wanting to preserve my current LibO 3.3.2, I installed LibO 3.4 beta 5 on a separate directory and, without even a single warning, most files from my 3.3.2 install were removed. This is true for WinXP.

Being able to have two separate installs would be nice (specially for testing new releases).

A warning that setting up a piece of software (LibO 3.4 in this case) removes other installations is not only nice but important in my opinion.

Thanks.

Juan

According to the LO wiki http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Releases/3.4/beta5 it should be fixed already. But it isn't. Hope someone will, soon.

The Wiki was wrong. This has not been changed in the libreoffice-3-4 branch. And anyway, this bug report is a duplicate. But see especially the comment https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36437#c14
