I would like to have helper funcionality that creates the COUNTIF cells for a histogram as described e.g. in http://networksandcities.wordpress.com/2012/10/23/how-to-draw-a-historgram-with-a-spreadsheet-program/ .

I vaguely remember MS Excel offering something like this.

Thank you for your suggestion.  I have changed the severity of this bug to "enhancement" as it is a request for a new feature.

In the meantime I have found out about an "array formula" called FREQUENCY (in German "HÄUFIGKEIT") that does the job of creating histogram data, so I am closing this request.
