Description Pedro 2013-05-06 14:12:47 UTC
When you open the Start Center (or when you have closed all open documents) the menu option Close in the File menu is still enabled.

Clicking the Close option behaves as File Exit, so this is a duplicate function.

In any case it doesn't make sense that it is not disabled since Close applies to open files (in the same way that Save or Print options, which are disabled and greyed out)

This bug/duplication has always been in LO (it is still in AOO)

Yes, I think this is a bug, from an UI perspective.

If you consider this a bug, then you should change the Status from UNCONFIRMED to NEW ;)

Setting NEEDINFO, and changing to enhancement.

Active UX-Advise item: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Libreoffice-ux-advise-quot-Close-quot-not-greyed-out-in-launcher-module-whithout-any-document-open-B-tt4063140.html

UX Whiteboard set.

Since the Start Center has different menu items from other modules of LibO anyway and it is also impossible to have an open document in the Start Center, the best option would be to remove this menu item altogether probably.

Marking as NEW.
