Please add the letter ஸ்ரீ in the same place. Enclose herewith the image of old unicode Tamil typewriter with word ஸ்ரீ after 0. Please do not make anyother change seeing the layout because it is old typewriter layout, add only the letter Sri.
Would you be able to patch the file symbols/in ? There is a section "tam_unicode"
Not a computer guy. Please add this symbol "ஸ்ரீ" next to 0. Please forward to developer from Tamilnadu, India.
symbol is TAMIL SYLLABLE SHRII, sequence: 0BB6 0BCD 0BB0 0BC0 added in Unicode 5.1. Problem is it's a sequence: how do we map that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamil_script#In_Unicode
This is not something we can fix in xkeyboard-config, xkb doesn't support sequences, it only allows one keycode → one keysym. To support ஸ்ரீ it needs to be provided by the input method, i.e. ibus or similar. we don't have a CANTFIX in bugzilla so I'm using WONTFIX.
