Description Will Thompson 2009-09-28 15:30:38 UTC
We can't currently represent whether you or other users are opped in chat rooms, or to represent many of the privileges you may or may not have in an room. (Some are represented by the permissions of the Telepathy properties on Channel.Type.Text, others in the flags on the Group interface.) We should define some, perhaps on a hypothetical future ChatRoom interface to subsume the aforementioned Tp properties.

<daf> wjt: the two common cases are IRC and Jabber
<daf> wjt: I think you can generalise to a list of roles, each of which has a set of permissions
<daf> wjt: but making a sane UI for that is tricky
<daf> wjt: let alone mapping to /mode
