Description Saul 2018-05-13 14:16:23 UTC
I have following in my ~/.xserverrc: 'exec /usr/bin/X -listen tcp'.
It has been working like this for many years, but not any more. Currently running xorg-server-1.19.5-r2 (as it is in Gentoo portage). I'm reading manual pages and other documentation, so far came up with nothing. Port 6000 remains closed. Is this feature or bug? It certainly is a bug for me. :(

What method are you using to start the X server? Xorg itself doesn't read
.xserverrc - only xinit & startx do.
Comment 2 Saul 2018-05-13 17:35:19 UTC
I use 'startx -- vt1'.
