hey i have opened a bug report here: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201077 and i want to let you know that you can use 4.16 or 4.15 kernels for temporary solution and all the people effected from this bug seem to using aspire 5 a515-41g laptop, also i updated to 1.09 bios and still there is no fix. amd wanted from me to bisect the kernel but i could only found the main commit and it contains dozens of other commits, but if you want to bisect the kernel that's might be helpful I have bisected the bug, also i have reported it: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201077 its been a month since reporting it to linux kernel amd team, they acknowledged the problem. its actually been more then two months since reporting it, its not fixed yet > its actually been more then two months since reporting it, its not fixed yet
You (or anyone else) needs to volunteer to investigate and provide a patch.
Issue has been gone! As of 5.3.0-050300rc1-generic #201907212232 the issue is have been gone. i have downloaded and installed the kernel via mainline kernel update utility on Pop_OS! tested both vulkan and opengl. https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201077#c37 |
