I agree. It would probably just be easiest to move the rest of the X.org mailing lists directly to the freedesktop.org server. The lists could still have the x.org hostnames I believe. For mailing lists, anything that isn't pronounced "GNU mailman" is frustrating to use as a user, frustrating to admin as an admin, and just plain confusing nowadays. ... nothing we can do about it, really. I agree it's total arse, and we should probably swallow the rest of the lists, but take it up with X.Org. |
