Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. Aaron, any chance of fixing this one? I've never heard of this. Does the desktop size actually change too with the binary driver, or do you get panning? Which driver does this work with? With the binary driver the desktop was resized (no panning) when docked. It's worth noting that docking/undocking was done while the system was fully shutdown. I opened the bug so long ago (2.5+ years?!) that I no longer have the hardware to test which driver (binary or nv) produces the desired behavior. For posterity, it was a Dell Inspirion 8500 laptop with GeForce. Oh, I'm sorry. I misread and thought you were talking about hot-docking/undocking it. The server should be using the EDID information from the external CRT to limit the modes. I'm going to mark this WONTFIX since nobody seems to have this hardware. |
