I have this same problem using xorg-6.8.1. Any known workarounds? Have you tested 6.8.2? *** Bug 1379 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Asking one more time, have either of you tried 6.8.2 ? Sorry, must have missed the previous question. No, I haven't tried 6.8.2 on that machine because the screen died. Sorry I can't help you track this down anymore. (In reply to comment #4) > Asking one more time, have either of you tried 6.8.2 ? I have not had a chance yet. The machine I have that has this chipset is my system at work, and I've worked around this issue by using an external video card. I'll try to make time this coming week to rip out the external card & try this chipset. I'll be testing this on Ubuntu's XOrg, and I don't know if they apply any external patches. Closing. Believed to be fixed in 6.8.2. Re-open if the problem persists after upgrading. |
