965Q on a Dell Optiplex 775 with Dual 1920x1200 Dell 2407WFP monitors in a 3840 x 1200 arrangement.  

libdrm 2.4.0
libpciaccess 0.9.1-4.10071031
mesa 7.1-0.16
xorg-x11-drv-i810 2.2.0-4
xorg-x11-server 1.4.99.1-0.23.20080222

When running glxgears, only a black rectangle appears and then glxgears crashes out.  Sometimes system hangs.


get mtrr messages in my /var/log/messages:

Note, can't try with new server because of blocking bug: 14867

Note:  same symptom for EXA and XAA

The log shows:
(II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI2 capable

I don't think DRI2 should have been enabled by default and don't know why the code (http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-commit/2008-February/014739.html) effective on your system. You might throw the question to fedora or X community.
