Reports of this bug on Linux; I've verified it on NetBSD. Recommended workaround is to downgrade to XFree 4.2.1 - the bug was introduced in 4.3.0. I've not found any reports of any X386 dervied X server after 4.2.1 working - this platform should be removed from the supported list until it's working so poor fools like me don't buy new laptops to discover they aren't supported after carefully cross referencing every chip in the whole thing to supported hardware lists. *** Bug 3536 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #2) I am experiencing the same issue with OpenBSD and OQO type 01. http://jcs.org/laptops/#oqo has success story, but I had no joy. The symptom happens with and without "NoAccel" option. OpenBSD bug report with config and xorg.log: http://cvs.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-wrapper? full=yes&numbers=4981 Does the problem happen at 16bpp ??? Ping! Ping! Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. This should be fixed in git. please re-open if you still have problems with the version in git. |
