Xorg intel driver:2.7.0
kernel: 2.6.29.2.
chipset: GM965

When I use the above configuration, X shows garbage instead of normal greeter at startup. X does not hang and the interface is usable as long as I'm able to guess where to click. The garbage has a partly horizontal shifted/skewed character, and in general the placing resembles the original position more or less, does that make ANY sense?). If I disable Tiling in xorg.conf (Option "Tiling" "false") X is usable again.

Another way to describe the garbage I can think of is "Ghosting", because lines are shifted horizontally, I see several ghosts of the visual elements.

You need an additional kernel patch.
