Gluon's crash

After some testing for bug #23693 I found out that Kubrick's crash occurs when the kernel module is not installed.
I compiled Mesa many times (every commit at end of german day) and can say the following:

Up to:
author Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net> 2009-08-28 22:01:56 (GMT)
committer Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net> 2009-08-28 22:29:35 (GMT)
commit 00413d87426f14df47d90ba3c995e1889e9f88ca

If I try to start Kubrick the system freezes. I have to press the shutdown button until a hard shutdown...

Since (maybe also earlier):
author Jakob Bornecrantz <wallbraker@gmail.com> 2009-08-30 16:45:47 (GMT)
committer Jakob Bornecrantz <wallbraker@gmail.com> 2009-08-31 15:29:58 (GMT)
commit f26065215317b1d320d11f636c65d4903788b431

Kubrick's bug also occurs with systemsettings module of Gluon.

Last commit of Aug 29 and Aug 30 (German time) do not compile so I think the break is anywhere between this two commits...

This bug is still valid without KMS (latest mesa git). On KMS enabled system all works fine.

@devs (Pauli): If KMS is the (only and right) way to go -> please close it ...

Obsolete because DRI1 code was removed from Mesa stack in Oct 2011.
