Xv is supported just fine on r7xx cards. There's something wrong with your configuration. Please attach your xorg log and dmesg. I suspect you do not have the firmware required by the driver installed. Thank You for the tip with the firmware. There was a firmware file missing. Two of the required firmaware files came with the kernel (RV710_me.bin RV710_pfp.bin), but one were missing (R700_rlc.bin). After installing the third firmare file XV works just fine. Thank You for Your help. I'm sorry that I din't find that out by myself. |
