sounds like the device is added twice, once with the joystick driver, once with the evdev driver. without the Xorg.log, it's hard to say for sure. In reply to comment #1: The Xorg.0.log is attached to the Debian bug I've referenced in the URL field and pointed to in comment #0, sorry for not making that more clear. The following was initially reported to Debian's BTS (by myself). After I've answered some questions by Cyril Brulebois there and off the tracker he asked me to report the bug upstream, that is here. > Dear X Strike Force, > I've installed the joystick input driver yesterday alongside evdev (also from > experimental).
