Description Joacim Thomassen 2010-11-04 04:54:21 UTC
System environment:
Chipset: Arrandale - Intel Core i5 M450 CPU
Arch: i686
libdrm: 2.4.22-1.fc14
mesa-dri: 7.9-1.fc14
xorg: 1.9.0-15.fc14
intel-drv: 2.12.0-6.fc14
kernel: 2.6.35.6-45.fc14
distro: Fedora 14
machine: Acer Aspire 3820T, model MS2292, TimelineX laptop
display connector: LVDS1
xorg.conf: See attachment. In short: DefaultDepth 8, AccelMethod XAA.

Reproducible: 100%

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 14, without KDE, GNOME - only X Window system
2. Log in on first tty
3. Create /etc/X11/xorg.conf similar to the attached xorg.conf in this bug.
3. Run `xinit -- /usr/bin/Xorg :0`

Result:
X server starts without complaint, but the X display 0 on tty7 is displayed in grayscale.

Expected result:
The X display 0 is shown with it's patterned root window and a white xterm.

There is no XAA, only UXA.
