Description Karl 2011-05-16 10:16:38 UTC
I'm trying unsuccessfully to install pkg-config on a system that does not have a working pkg-config.
PROBLEM:

./configure

checking for pkg-config... /usr/lib
./configure: line 13540: /usr/lib: is a directory
configure: error: pkg-config not found

This not a legal dependency for pkg-config.

Your cryptic comment did not make the issue magically go away. Neither did your circular reference to the bug report's own number achieve that.

The bug report is still valid. Re-opening.

No, it's not. Read the referenced commit.
