Are you running current versions of pulseaudio and alsa-plugins? I'm running current available versions from ArchLinux repos: pulseaudio 1.1-2 lib32-libpulse 1.1-2 alsa-plugins 1.0.25-1 Hmm, I use Chromium quite often and I've never seen this problem.
