Description cody 2012-06-20 06:21:58 UTC
Pantheon of elementary OS (https://launchpad.net/elementary and http://elementaryos.org) does not appear in the menu-spec (http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-1.0.html#onlyshowin-registry).
Comment 1 Vincent Untz 2015-09-18 09:41:51 UTC
Sorry for the noise, reassigning to new (since 2 years) maintainers (Ryan & David).

Any progress on this?

I am currently packaging some elementary / pantheon software for fedora, and there, desktop files are not valid (as required) without "Pantheon" as a registered environment string in desktop-file-utils (even Cinnamon [1] and whatever EDE is [2] have been added as registered values, so "Pantheon" should be too, in my opinion).

And maybe releasing a new version after that wouldn't hurt either (since the last release was in 2013) ...

Is there a chance to get a new release (0.24?) containing this fix soon-ish?
