Description Benjamin K. Stuhl 2005-12-09 11:11:27 UTC
The default build of the modular savage driver doesn't support XVideo (xvinfo
reports no adapters found). This seems to be a configure/build system problem,
since rerunning configure with CC='gcc -DXvExtension' and rebuilding makes
XVideo work again.

Steps to reproduce:
1. build and install the savage driver through ./configure; make; make install
2. run xvinfo on a savage with Xv support (e.g. a Savage/IX)

Expected results:
xvinfo reports an XVideo adapter with a bunch of formats

Actual results:
xvinfo reports no adapaters found

this was a bug with all modular servers. I think it has been fixed in cvs.

re-open if this is still present in 7.0
