Tried with drm-intel-next snapshot from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/2012-09-21-quantal/ Much better. I'm actually able to issue several commands to the hero before GPU hangs. Created attachment 67835 [details]

I cannot reproduce this DOTA2 issue on SandyBridge on master, the game doesn't hang.
