Hi,

I just bought a new i7 laptop where i installed Debian wheezy(kernel 3.2). All hardware are detected but i notice the graphics are not working good, the resolution is bad an ugly. I tried other Linux distribution and works fine it only happens in debian wheezy.

I have heard that there is an issue with the new intel i7 (2º generation) with the graphics in debian.

Here is my hardware(sorry is in spanish):

Hi Ruben,

Unfortunately, none of the people reading this bug are likely to be able to help: Mesa is the 3D driver, which doesn't affect display resolution.

It's likely that you just need a newer kernel. You might try that.

Alternatively, since you say it works with other distributions, you might consider filing a bug with the Debian project: http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting
