Description Erdal Ronahi 2006-01-12 07:10:06 UTC
There are Kurdish locales now in several Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Mandriva,
Fedora) and in GNOME. Whenever the terminal is used though, one gets the
following error messages:

(gedit:3267): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib

(gedit:3267): Gdk-WARNING **: cannot set locale modifiers

Please include a kurdish locale (ku according to ISO) into Xlib. I will gladly
give you all the information necessary for that.

I have meanwhile proposed keyboard definitions for Kurdish. Please see bug #6159
for details.
Comment 2 Alan Coopersmith 2006-07-14 18:27:48 UTC
xlibs is dead, moving to Xorg.
Comment 3 Daniel Stone 2007-02-27 01:29:56 UTC
Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
Comment 4 Erdal Ronahi 2009-08-02 13:57:29 UTC
Actually I cannot reproduce this now, neither under Debian, Ubuntu nor Fedora. Seems this is no longer an issue.
