There are Kurdish locales now in several Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora) and in GNOME. Whenever the terminal is used though, one gets the following error messages: (gedit:3267): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib (gedit:3267): Gdk-WARNING **: cannot set locale modifiers Please include a kurdish locale (ku according to ISO) into Xlib. I will gladly give you all the information necessary for that.
I have meanwhile proposed keyboard definitions for Kurdish. Please see bug #6159 for details.
xlibs is dead, moving to Xorg.
Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
Actually I cannot reproduce this now, neither under Debian, Ubuntu nor Fedora. Seems this is no longer an issue.
