Definitely a cairoOutputDev problem, changing both gtk-spalsh-test and gtk-cairo-test to display page 3, the splash one shows up in < 1 sec while gtk-cairo-test does never shows up, may be interesting to note it is Xorg here what has 100% CPU It works much better now, although still a bit slow. (why are pages always recalculated when displayed instead of being cached?) Package versions: libpoppler1-0.5.4-2mdv2007.1 libcairo2-1.3.10-1mdv2007.1 Closing, i don't find it slow at all on new poppler, please reopen if you still think it's too slow |
