Description Antoine 2006-03-24 04:45:59 UTC
The following PDF does not display and the CPU keeps spinning at 100% busy.
http://drivers.trust.nl/manuals/getmanual.asp?file=14/14420-al-ip.pdf

This is with the following package versions:
libpoppler1-0.5.1-2mdk
libcairo2-1.0.4-1mdk

Definitely a cairoOutputDev problem, changing both gtk-spalsh-test and
gtk-cairo-test to display page 3, the splash one shows up in < 1 sec while
gtk-cairo-test does never shows up, may be interesting to note it is Xorg here
what has 100% CPU

It works much better now, although still a bit slow.
(why are pages always recalculated when displayed instead of being cached?)

Package versions:
libpoppler1-0.5.4-2mdv2007.1
libcairo2-1.3.10-1mdv2007.1

Closing, i don't find it slow at all on new poppler, please reopen if you still think it's too slow
