Sadly are there no linux drivers (open-source or or ati's precompiled own ones) for your hardware. As of now you have to run the vesa drivers to atleast get something on the screen. Hi, I have the same problem with the vesa driver. Blackscreen with movable mouse pointer. Is there anything I can continue to tinker with to get some kind of usable X ? Thanks, Brian Sounds like the X server is running fine, but without any clients. How are you trying to start your X session?
