Bug:
Random freezes of xorg on freshly installed ubuntu 13.10.
There does not seem any pattern when this happens. Usually takes 10-20min.
There is no application running that requires special graphic ressources.
Requires hard reboot. Mouse and keyboard hang. <ctrl> + <alt> + F1 does not work. Interesting is that this happens also with ubuntu 12.10, ubuntu 12.04.02 LTS and fedora 18.

Hardware:
HP Envy TouchSmart AiO PC
- Intel Core i7 3770s
- 8 GB DDR3-1600
- Radeon HD 7450A
- Hard drive: 1 TB SATA
- exact technical spec:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03683196&cc=ad&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001#N1445

Further Info:
1. I ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xservers-xorg" to reconfigure the Xserver but this did not bring any change.
2. This sound like ubuntu Bug #1077616 but I have a Radeon and not a Nvidia card.

Please attach your dmesg output as well. Is this a hybrid system with both an integrated Intel GPU and the discrete AMD GPU? Does updating to mesa 9.1.2 or mesa from git help?
