Description Stanisław Halik 2013-08-31 23:18:47 UTC
apitrace file not attached due to size. http://ananke.laggy.pk/wine-preloader.trace.xz Causes lockup before finishing on CAYMAN 6970 and today's git unless HYPERZ is disabled.

File now hosted at http://ts3.cosaofficial.pl/opentrack/misc/wine-preloader.trace.xz Sorry for the noise and inconvenience. Happy year rollover to the Mesa team! -sh

Please reupload that trace if you can :).
Comment 3 Stanisław Halik 2014-08-05 21:12:48 UTC
Available at last address again.
Comment 4 Marek Olšák 2014-09-01 17:08:33 UTC
Setting DB_RENDER_OVERRIDE.FAST_STENCIL_DISABLE works as a workaround.

(In reply to comment #4) > Setting DB_RENDER_OVERRIDE.FAST_STENCIL_DISABLE works as a workaround. Yes it works. But it works also with your patch set from last week, did you abandon those? I have these 7 applied and this apitrace does not lockup :) http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2014-August/066388.html http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2014-August/066519.html
Comment 6 Marek Olšák 2014-09-01 19:37:26 UTC
The patch has been committed, but it's a workaround, not a fix. I think this bug should remain open until a proper fix has been found.
Comment 7 Stanisław Halik 2014-09-09 07:37:05 UTC
If the trace's still relevant please mirror it just in case.

Is this still a thing? Marek committed a handful of fixes in december 2015
Comment 9 Stanisław Halik 2018-09-27 11:59:21 UTC
Last I know Hyper-Z was disabled due to few cases like this, and can be re-enabled through the `SB_DEBUG' environment variable. It would be interesting to see if r600 gallium-nine also exercises the freeze. The original freeze happened using Wine's d3d9 -> opengl translation. Sadly I cannot make a new trace as that 6970 gave up the ghost.
