last thing seen is: [drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810 i915 0000:00:02.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [drm] Memory usable by graphics device = 2048M fb: conflicting fb hw usage inteldrmfb vs EFI VGA - removing generic driver Console: switching BUG: unable to handle kernel to colour dummy device 80x25 NULL pointer dereference Just documenting what we discussed on IRC: - Please blacklist i915.ko and try to reproduce the problem. - Please boot with drm.debug=0xe and try to get a full log file for when the problem happens. I want to check if the power well is enabled or disabled when the Kernel starts touching the legacy VGA registers. Thanks, Paulo Based on the conversations we had, I guess this got tracked down to being a issue outside i915.ko, right? Can I close this bug? Thanks, Paulo (In reply to comment #3) > Based on the conversations we had, I guess this got tracked down to being a > issue outside i915.ko, right? Can I close this bug? Timeout. Please reopen if the problem persists with recent kernels or drm/i915. |
