Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. (In reply to comment #0) I have the same problem with Dell D800 (on Ubuntu 7.10). I also use suspend to disk (uswsusp). Shift, Ctrl and Caps Lock suddenly stop working from time to time without an apperent reason. When I change console to VT (using chvt) all keys are working properly. When I start new X session eveneryhing is allright too. When I get back into my keyboard broken Xsession, the problem persists. Only way to get rid of it is to restart Xserver. Can anyone help? Closing an old bug. VT switching has been working for ages now, at least with current releases anyway. |

I have a DELL 510m notebook where I often use the suspend to disk feature. Kernel is 2.6.16.19 and X server 6.8.2. The X server is emerged from gentoo, Linux kernel is the official one. X server worked fine for a long time and I didn't change anything. Suddenly one fine day (today), I noticed my keyboard map (ucw-cs) stopped working. Then I tried to do a VT switch ctrl-alt-F1 ctrl-alt-F2 which normally works, and it doesn't do anything. The server is running on VT 7.
