Is this a regression? Did it work previously? If so what version? Also, please attach your dmesg and xorg log to the bug directly so they don't disappear if the pastebins do. Created attachment 94729 [details]

I don´t get your question w.r.t. regression... Could you reformulate/be more specific? It is a Ubuntu saucy (13.10) mini installation for AMD64. The xorg version is 1.14.5. For testing purposes I have upgraded the kernel and xorg to a recent version, from the repository https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa. This did not solve the issue. (In reply to comment #5) Ok, clear now. It did not work right after I installed ubuntu 13.10. Then I did the update of the kernel and moved to the xorg-edgers repository. This did not solve the issue. I have no experience with versions of the OSS radeon driver in ubuntus before 13.10, since I always have been using fglrx till now. I could test older versions if this does help you. jochemvissers@gmail.com, Ubuntu Saucy reached EOL on July 17, 2014. For more on this, please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases . If this is reproducible in a supported release, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with Ubuntu by ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information running the following from a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.
