I looked at other fonts on my system and you are right, I'll take care of that (I'll just add the roof to YUD). Thx for reporting! My suggestion was actually to get rid of the roof for VAV and FINAL NUN as well... Perhaps we should have some more feedback on this. Well I just thought it would be the easiest solution just to adjust YUD. Most fonts I have installed have this roof (such as Levenim or Tahoma, which has a similiar style to DejaVu). I had a look again comparing the following five fonts: Nachlieli Arial Tahoma Levinim DejaVu Sans and imo the Hebrew glyphs of DejaVu are much more similar to Nachlieli and Arial, than to Tahoma and Levinim. Neither Nachlieli and Arial have a roof for any of these three characters, so I feel that neither should DejaVu. Any progress on this? Should I provide a patch? Sorry, I forgot to close the bug. I have already made the suggested changes, they are included in the recent version. |
