compiz currently implementeds the feature called a "large desktop" and not multiple workspaces like metacity. We're probably going to add support for workspaces as well but a "large desktop" and viewports are what compiz currently support. I know that I've sent libwnck patches to the compiz list that will make the pager support moving of windows between viewports. You're not forced to 4. You can change the /apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/hsize option to a greater number if you want that. I believe this is being tracked in the following bug report: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352383 Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. Applied in Gnome SVN according to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352383, thus closing as fixed. |
