some of the google-specific MIME types have been added in the past, e.g. application/vnd.google-earth.kmz but several more remain unknown at the moment:

I guess, application/vnd.google-apps.unknown should not be mapped but the others should. They are somewhat more generic though, e.g. application/vnd.google-apps.photo could probably be any image format.

For example, gmail creates an attachment with the photo type by attaching a photo previously uploaded to Google+.

As per the HACKING file, please provide git formatted patches for each one of the mime-types you wish to add.
