It's a little unclear what's happening. Are you saying the when playing back certain videos the display goes off? If so, you are probably seeing a GPU lockup. I put the video on pause and try to enter the computer to sleep (not hibernate) - then the monitor turns off and the computer is not(only helps power off or reset). If I close the player, or it does not use vdpau then everything is fine. I can't reproduce this issue. I'm using a self compiled kernel from linus's git and graphical stuff too (mesa, ddx, xorg, drm). I've played a video on mpv, using vdpau as hwdec, and it goes to sleep and I can resume it without any issue. I've checked dmesg and I can't see any warning or error. I switched to the core of 3.18 and sleep is working correctly. |
