Xrandr output after plugging monitor back in, rotation is lost
So I added the output of xrandr, but I doubt I can find much information there on who executed the change in configuration, Chris, can you point me to the right direction? any log that you suggest so I can take a look at it Reassigned to Chris to check logs and question from Jairo. Changing to high since this is not a milestone blocker. BTW, I would like to confirm what is the expected behavior here and therefore if this is a real bug. the rotation is dismissed also after wake up the system from s3 with the following configuration Kernel version,4.7.0-mainline # From 01.org Linux distribution,Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS. As Chris already pointed out nor kernel or x saves this information for the user. So if no one request this mode we will use the preferred mode determined by panel's EDID info. First of all. Sorry about spam. This is mass update for our bugs. Sorry if you feel this annoying but with this trying to understand if bug still valid or not. If bug investigation still in progress, please ignore this and I apologize! If you think this is not anymore valid, please comment to the bug that can be closed. If you haven't tested with our latest pre-upstream tree(drm-tip), can you do that also to see if issue is valid there still and if you cannot see issue there, please comment to the bug. This has the same behavior as reported before, but based on comment 1 and comment 35, I believe this can be closed as NOTOURBUG. Please reopen otherwise, thank you.
