What is the update tool?
Comment 4 Armando Antonio 2017-08-23 18:19:24 UTC
Hello Jani, you can get more information about Update tool in the following link,

https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/intel-graphics-update-tool-linux-os-v2.0.5

Regards.

Ah, a new name for the Graphics Installer. We don't support that upstream. As the page you linked to says, support is available at https://01.org/linuxgraphics/forum/update-tool-support-forum
Comment 6 Ricardo 2017-08-24 20:30:10 UTC
Jani
the reported issue needs more explanation but they are not reporting a issue with the tool...

they are reporting an issue with
Connect_clone_suspend_rotate_suspend_unplug
Connect_suspend_rotate_suspend_unplug

Armando or Hector can you add the steps (after the update tool) you take to reproduce the error. no about the Update tool but the steps to run those tests...

the issue is in the driver (dont mind the text update tool)

My reply needs more explanation: We don't support the kernel driver installed or updated using the update tool here.

Are these tests open source and publicly available? Where? If not, we don't support them.
