which I got from 01.org.

Skylake doesn't have VGA natively, so you have some DP->VGA dongle (possibly built-in on the motherboard with a connector in the chassis). At a glance, the i2c communication with the display fails.

Please try v4.9-rc3 kernel or drm-intel-nightly branch of http://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel

I tried linux 4.9-rc3 and it works now. Thank you.
