I manually installed - skldmcver126 - sklgucver61 - intel-graphics-update-tool-2.0.2-24.intel20162 which I got from 01.org. The output of "journalctl --boot=-1" is attached.
Skylake doesn't have VGA natively, so you have some DP->VGA dongle (possibly built-in on the motherboard with a connector in the chassis). At a glance, the i2c communication with the display fails. Please try v4.9-rc3 kernel or drm-intel-nightly branch of http://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel
