Hi, I have tested Debian 9 Gnome and Fedora 25 (both have libinput 1.6.3) on a Thinkpad X201 and have found that the trackpoint is a little slow (I would say half the speed compared to evdev). As a workaround, I have edited /etc/udev/hwdb.d/71-trackpoint.hwdb with these settings : evdev:name:TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint:dmi:bvn*:bvr*:bd*:svnLENOVO:pn*:pvrThinkPadX20*:* POINTINGSTICK_SENSITIVITY=200 POINTINGSTICK_CONST_ACCEL=1.25
I guess that's a plain X201, not a X201s or so? what does /sys/class/dmi/id/modalias say?
Yes, just a X201, with a trackpoint and no trackpad. /sys/class/dmi/id/modalias dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr6QET70WW(1.40):bd10/11/2012:svnLENOVO:pn3680KD3:pvrThinkPadX201:rvnLENOVO:rn3680KD3:rvrNotAvailable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable:
