Sometimes the monitor will blank on boot and cannot see the login prompt, BIOS is legacy VBIOS. We add drm.debug=0x1e to grub, dmesg_OK.log is monitor working with DP signal and dmesg_NG.log is monitor getting no signal.

If change BIOS CSM=>video from legacy to UEFI, the DP monitor will not get blank for UBuntu server 16.04, but kernel shows eDP instead of DP. For legacy setting, we change different resolution and monitor will get the same resolution. Hi, I tested drm-tip-2017-10-22 and got fail on second boot.
First of all. Sorry about spam. This is mass update for our bugs. Sorry if you feel this annoying but with this trying to understand if bug still valid or not. If bug investigation still in progress, please ignore this and I apologize! If you think this is not anymore valid, please comment to the bug that can be closed. If you haven't tested with our latest pre-upstream tree(drm-tip), can you do that also to see if issue is valid there still and if you cannot see issue there, please comment to the bug.
