Description Hua Wang 2017-05-01 15:59:41 UTC
I have a vfs495 fingerprint reader with ID 138a:003f. Using archlinux, I get it working quite smoothly with libfprint-git (with vfs495 patch), vfs495-daemon in the aur repository and fprintd 0.7.0-1. Today, the arch linux fprintd package upgraded to the latest git version, which totally breaks down the fingerprint reader feature, as I can neither enroll my fingerprint using the new version, nor can I use the fingerprint enrolled before the upgrade.

As a temporary workaround, I can only downgrade to the previous version.

Can you verify this problem ? If so, any idea on how to fix it ?

fprintd 0.7.0 works fine with libfprint from extra repository, so it must be your patched libfprint.
