The Medieval Unicode Font Initiative publishes font coverage recommendations. They recommend a subset of Unicode that fonts should support, as well as give additional characters to be placed in the Private Use Area. These additional characters often eventually end up in Unicode. Several other font projects, such as JUnicode and Titus, follow these recommendations. DejaVu should include at least their subset of Unicode, and ideally their extensions. Code point listings at: http://www.mufi.info/specs/
