Which project would you like to contribute to? Have you spoken to that project and got their approval to contribute?
Comment 3 Ethan Hsieh 2017-06-14 12:33:38 UTC
I plan to submit a patch to drm-intel, but haven't spoken to the project yet.
Comment 4 Martin Peres 2017-06-14 12:35:47 UTC
Moved the bug to the intel-gfx ML. Anyone can vouch for Ethan?
Comment 5 Daniel Stone 2017-06-14 12:35:58 UTC
Ah, OK. drm-intel (as with all fd.o projects) accepts patches from anyone: you don't need an SSH account to contribute. Once you have your patch, you can send it to intel-gfx@lists.freedesktop.org using git-send-email. I suggest reading https://dri.freedesktop.org/docs/drm/gpu/introduction.html#contribution-process and the document it links to about the general kernel contribution process.

Closing for now, but please reopen if one of the developers invites you to apply for an account to commit patches directly.
