Description Abdul Moeed Ammar 2017-07-11 11:29:07 UTC
It will be very nice, if there is some way to get notifications from guest OS to host OS.

For example, if I am running windows as guest and a program there needs attention (it's window is flashing 'FlashWindow'). But if currently I am in host OS I will not know about it until I switch to the guest.

In such scenarios, it will be nice to have a notification in host OS. The notification can contain the details about what happened in guest to cause this notification, but even simple message that, 'there is something that needs your attention in guest', will be enough.

Regarding what events in guest OS should be notified in host OS, it will depend upon the guest OS. But mostly they should include standard desktop notifications in guest OS, and FlashWindow in case of Windows.

Idea is not bad, don't know how useful it can be.
Maybe integrating the agent with APIs about notification on Windows and Linux...

Not sure what you expect that the spice client will do with this guest-side notification.
