Xfce with compiz reloaded as wm. The content of windows like thunar gets full of artifacts when scrolling. Switching to modesetting fixes the issue. On the other end modesettings is more battery hungry. Compiz 0.9 series shows no issue. I file a bug because in the past you helped again with compiz. Thanks in any case Gianluca
Hello, Could you add more HW and SW information, as same as dmesg log? Thank you.
No update since opening, closing soon.
Not enough data.
Reopening because I would like the issue to be fixed: Software: Archlinux, compiz-reloaded as WM and XFCE as desktop environment. In order to reproduce the bug you can scrollthe file list of thunar or libreoffice calc. Could be linked to gtk2 since both apps are set with gtk2. Hardware: Macbook pro 11.3 Intel iris pro and Nvidia gt 750m as dedicated card, but I don't use it. Mesa 18.0 series. Thanks! Gianluca
Can you try to reproduce using drm-tip (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip) and send dmesg with drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M?

If running with 4.18 does not fix the problem, we should try to disable some optimisations and see which one is hitting you.
Need latest logs from drm-tip to investigate the issue. No feedback from more than 2 months, closing as resolved invalid. Please re-open if issue persists with latest drm-tip https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip Send dmesg from boot with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M? Without dmesg with latest drm-tip, will not speed up the investigation.
